Frequently Asked Questions

Where would I stay on the island?

Twin Beach Sanctuary offers our Twin Beach Resort - it is the most authentic experience on the island, with traditional wooden bungalows with single or couple options. We have air-conditioned options and a large hang-out area, where breakfast, lunch & dinner is served. You can also organize outdoor activities here, socialize and karaoke!

Why the Twin Beach Resort?

Supporting the Twin Beach Resort also means supporting our conservation effects, particularly with the dugongs which is specifically hosted here. We are also only resort on the island that offers the floating tents. It was given the name Twin Beach because there is a beach on both sides of that island area, in close proximity - so you can watch both the sunrise and sunset. The beach is literally right in front of your accommodation! The pier is also near by and the village is in close walking distance. It is also the most cost-effective. It was originally created by a local Malaysian who came from a poor background, so he dreamed of making a resort that anyone could afford - something he never could have in the past.

Can I drink at the resort?

As mentioned in the previous answer, the resort was intended to be a place that anyone could afford no matter where they come from, as we believe everyone deserves a getaway! Hence, we have deep respect for the locals on the island who are predominantly Muslim, as we hire the local villagers to serve our guests food.

However, you are more than welcome to BYO alcohol for a small fee. Just let us know what is your preferred drink as there is always time for celebration :)

How to get there?

By Road :
A 3 hours drive from Kuala Lumpur to Kulai interchange, followed by a short drive to Tg. Leman jetty via Kota Tinggi and a 15 minutes boat-ride will take you directly to Twinbeach Sanctuary. https://maps.app.goo.gl/jtGLjocAbhoYTs2H8
